Ya i would get a new motherboard. I like the Gigabyte's or Asus for overclocking. You also need a nice heatsink and fan if u want to get that cpu to 3ghz or more. I think your ram is fine. What do u do with this computer?

Just another stick of RAM.
The system you have is a good one already, and for the most part it should last you awhile as it is.
If you were to upgrade your motherboard, the only valid reason I could see, would be to get an 8x AGP slot for your 9700.

Alright so I'm convinced I need memory and a motherboard.

Recomendations on the motherboard would be helpful, thinking possibly of Abit or Gigabyte.

I'm pulled between Corsair and Kingston?

Asus/Abit/Asrock/Gigabyte are all good brands. Brands to stay away from: PC-Chips, and I've also heard MSI is shit. Definently stay away shit like Syntax.
