Default Upgrading laptop video card

Hi guys
I need a little help here. i have a Dell inspiron 5100 that i bought new 2 years ago. everything is descent still about it, (512 DDR, 2.4 Gh pentium 4, 40 gig drive), except for the video card, which is a 64mb radeon 7500, and won't run directX 8. 0

i would like to upgrade the video card to something that can run directX 9.0 or higher. does anyone have any suggestions on good cards? what should i look for? where should i look? and most importantly, how should i go about installing the new hardware without wrighting off my comp?

thanks allot guys!

The only other option that would work on ur laptop would be ATI's Radeon 9000 at either 32 mb or 64. nothing else would work on that lappy. sorry
