sizco, what's the need for two drives? just get one DVD/CD reader/burner combo drive for the same price you want that DVD-R burner for. you can even get a NICE plextor for that kind of money, i think.

sizco SATA drives connections look much different. Just look in your case and look at your hd's, if they have (i think sata cables are pretty much always the little red guys right??) the smaller cables and one molex then you do otherwise you dont.

I'm pretty sure you can find it for less than that, if you want to buy all from newegg tho thats ok, I'm just stingy with my money so I always try to find the best price. Here are a couple places with it for less:

Froogle search brings up alot:

just need to try and clear this up i have a KD7 Motherboard but in the maual it says

Serial ATA 150 (For KD7-g &KD7-S)

onboard silicon image SIL3112A Controller
Support 2 ports SATA 150 (1.5G bps)
Supports serial ATA data transfer Rates of 150mb/sec
Supports RAID 0
Supports RAID 1

so, it says Supports 2 Ports SATA 150. so that means my Board has to support SATA right? cause i was told that i didn't have SATA.
