what kind of graphics and sound cards would work best for me?

Everything looks good except the RAM. (Never heard of it.) Look for Kingston, Corsair, and Mushkin if possible (Their "Value-Ram" should be fine).

Yeah I would definatly look for a more known brand of ram. For a video card, depending on hom much you want to spend I would say an ati 9800pro or a nvidia 5600 or 6600.

I dont think you should get that mobo at all!! All socket 939 mobos cost pretty much the same amount. I suggest the
MSI K8N Neo Platinum or the Abit 3rd Eye AV8 K8T800 Pro. These two boards are alot better, and dont cost much. Also for RAM i suggest Kingston.

Or you can go cheaper and still prolly get the same performance with the cost of futue upgrades, and get a goodsocket 754 board.

As for video cards, a Nvidia 6600GT is better than the 9800pro and I think cheaper too.

I also want to reinforce what the otehrs said about your ram. It's crap... prolly has pretty high latencies (slower performance) Dont cut back on ram as your other hardware deserves way better. Mushkin is a good brand. Also consider Geil if you want the most bang for your buck. Well thats just me but yeah.

Tell us your budget and what your gonna be doing to this computer and we can help you out some more.

thanks everyone, im just gona be using it for college, playing games and maybe a little downloading

that is a descent graphics card, I would suggest maybe a 9800 pro 128MB or 6600 GT which are very good cards, but don't break the bank

I would say for upgradability, go for socket 939
the Abit AV8 3rd eye is probbably the best socket 939 motherboard for price and features
