Ultra DMA Mode-5 S.M.A.R.T.
Capable but disabled

^Does anyone know what that means and how to fix it? My other computer says that and does not run past checking master/slave primary/secondary. I cannot even get into the BIOS. When it gets there, the screen clears and then its a blinking cursor in the upper left. Then it just stops, I cannot do anything at this point except for restart. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

does it beep when you turn it on?
if so what is the combination? (ie 2 long, 1 short)

read it for a second.. whats it telling you

now go to bios and fix it
just find DMA smart blah blah and enable it..

well i kno i could go into bios and fix it...but i cant get into bios...and it does beep, one short beep

duh ox, ive been working with computers for about 8 years now...this is the first problem ive come across and not been able to fix...if i COULD get into the bios, thats the first place i would go
