The other day I harvested a sound card from some old computer, and installed it into my newer one. My motives for doing this are because I needed a gameport for one of my controllers, and because I want to be able to have two different speakers (one main set and a pair of headphones) playing different sounds, like I could assign teamspeak to use the old card and have the headphones hooked up to that. but once i installed the sound card, the built in motherboard card is no longer functional or recognized by windows. any way to fix this? (besides removing the card)

If you get rid of the sound card you just installed, be sure to get rid of the drivers that were installed as well to insure your system properly goes back to the original onboard sound.
