Default two 10,000 HD's in Raid config?

I am considering putting two 10,000 PRM HD's in Raid config on a new build. I am a novice at this and wanted your input. I understand that there is a higher chance of HD failure with this setup, but I keep backups of all my important info.

Any and all advice is welcome.

the speed you get with two raptors on raid is not that big from just 1 raptor. Do it if you just need that extra speed. if your worried about hardrive failure put it on raid 1 (i think thats the right one) so pretty much you'll have two copies of 1 hardrive...
