no, it is not true hd. it is 768p, 1080i
you want 768i, 1080p

this is lowend HD tv.

True HDTVs have 1080 verticle pixels (1080p)
rip off HDTVs have 768 verticle pixels (768p)
the 768p TV's say they upconvert to 1080i, but its not true HD, its an interpetation of true HD on a lower resolution.

by far the best deal on HDTV's is Samsung DLP's. I got my 50" for ~1900 and about a month later my friend got a 56" for the same price. they are crazy good deals (get the extended warrentee cuz the light gets dim after like 2 years)

You don't have to get one that big, you could get this Westinghouse 42" 1920x1080. But the fact of the matter is that you won't be able to find a 1080p HDTV smaller than 42" ... unless you got a 23" or 24" computer monitor (at 1920x1200), and some how found an HDMI to DVI adapter which they don't make.

SO they dont make true HD smaller than 42???? Thats ridic I just wanted a small tv for my room that I could watch games on in HD. So theirs NO WAY I can get an hd quality tv smaller than that?

Well, at a size that small, you don't need 1920x1200, you wouldn't be able to tell a difference.
