Pretty interesting article. Of course none of this will happen overnight, but the makings for new CPU's, and IC's all together is being made. Exciting to know within our lifetime we will be experiencing CPUs that use technology on a molecular scale for usage.

Transistors will NEVER die... Just like tubes. And im being serious, tubes r0x. They are still used in high end audio gear

Yeah, they WILL die out as a means of CPU and IC production.

I'm not saying you'll never see them again, but as far as CPU and RAM goes it sure could
