transferring windows

alright,

the system im on now is windows xp pro.

i have an extra 40gb hd i want to put windows on.

can i drag and drop all the program and windows files from this hard drive to my 40gb one, and have it start up? like just drag and drop, then put my 40gb hd in another comp.uter and have it start up and work, etc.

doesnt work like that sry. ul have to use ur windows did to intall it on the other computer.

cloning his current partition would work, but only if he was using that HD in the same computer as its currently in. if hes moving it to a different computer he'l prolly end up with conflicts with dirvers or something. since he's using it ona different computer, he's gota reinstall windows.
