Tips for installing a PSU

very easy imo, I just did it yesterday, and the day before, and before.....
for uninstalling the power supply
first off, unpower your system, disconnect the power cord
open up your case, disconnect all the power wires 1) to the motherboard 2) to the CD rom and DVD 3)hard disks 4) floppy... don't have to do it in sequence thought
unscrew the power supply off your case, there should be 4 screws holding the power supply at the back of the case.
just redo all the steps in opposite when you are installing one.

it is pretty easy, basically find all the cables, unplug them unscrew the psu and swap them over then replace all the cables from the new ones to the same points. sorry im sure that really doesnt help much because thats just stating the obvious. try googling "installing new psu"

It is mega-easy!
Of course, turn off your computer and unplug it from the wall :b
Just unplug all of the power cables from your motherboard, vid card, drives, and fans, etc. Make sure to remember where they go.
Then, just unscrew the PSU from the back of the case, and slide it out.
Then slide the new one in and screw in the screws.
Then, connect the power connectors to all of the devices, and double check to see that everything is plugged in.
Now you can plug the PSU into the wall, and turn on the computer.
Of course, turn off your computer and unplug it from the wall :b

also try not to touch the surface of your hdd, mother board or processor or anything like that, in case you don't already know of the damage static can do.
Dont forget to double check the voltage setting on the
back of the psu so it matches your country of origin-
115V or 230V.
Take a look at the PSU before you install it & get an idea
what your working with, ie: all the wires.
Route everything neatly in the case & avoid running wires
over things like the ram, cpu fan, etc.
Use a few small tie straps to hold wires in place or to the rails
in the case to keep them from interferring with air flow.
"Dont supply any power to the pc case until youre all done!"
Power is the first thing to go off & the last thing to come on.
