Hi,
My harddrive just died down a few days ago and I'm looking for any good deals on harddrives, but found none really. Basically, as long as the drive is 40 gb or over, it's fine, and the price -- below $40...hopefully.
I've seen some really good deals at a store near my house called "Fry's Electronics"....don't know if you've ever heard of them...and right now they don't have anything really special.

Thanks.

You'll be hard pressed to find a new hard drive for $40, and if your dead set on a 40gig your choices will be very limited. The technology is so cheap these days, the price jump from a 40 gig, to an 80 or 100 gig is pretty minimal.

Check out www.newegg.com
they have some good deals

if you watch G4TV on mondays for attack of the show, they show you great deals in a section called Frugality. alot of them are on CompUSA's website and Amazon.com. check those out.

I have a Fry's near me, too. They do have some pretty good prices. I got a 120 gig harddrive for around 50 bucks.
