Default tinyxp

my friend wants XP on his 120 MHz Pentium machine
It only has 64 MB of RAM

would it be fine to put tinyxp on his machine?
This is a modded version of XP that doesnt include some programs and is set to use only 40 MB of RAM.

So would tinyxp work for his machine?

P.S. His machine is such a P.O.S. that microsoft wouldnt even care about even looking at his machine to see if windows was bootlegged..

I dunno. It would run 95/98, but XP would devour so much RAM that it'd be pretty pointless...

i'd say try and give it a little overclock if you want to run XP. p-120, you might be able to make 150mhz on that and that should be sufficient

tinyXP? haven't heard of it....

if it's set to use less resources, maybe it would run a lot faster on a "normal" system too. be better for gaming, provided it hasn't been stripped too much and not have the support.

tinyxp is a modded version of XP that uses 40 MB of RAM and takes up 200 MB of Hard drive space

It includes very basic apps (custom made) and has less windows components.

It was downloaded off torrent.

don't bother XP is not for that machine no matter how it was modded. I personally wouldn't trust anything off a torrent anyways but XP is just too demanding for that system stick with a 95/98

I remember hearing somewhere that windows 2000 takes more memory than xp...

I've never had 2000, so... is that true/\
