Default time for a change?

right now i have a audigy gamer sound card in my computer. do u think its time i update it? am getting the new Z-5500 speakers from logitech and will updating my sound card make a noticable differance? i was thinking about the audigy 2 pro zs, or the new audigy 4 pro (i'll wait until newegg gets it) because they have the optical in and outputs. thx

Depends. If the new speakers you're getting support a greater format (like 7.1 over 5.1) or the newer THX, then yes, getting a new card will make a difference. If you don't care, or your speakers aren't that much better, then no, it won't make a difference.
