Default TIGHT budget

My friend needs a good, reliable computer, nothing fancy (a P3 or older Athlon would do), can you help?

Oh, there's a catch---he has a $160 budget.

Thanks everyone.

Does he have an OS already? If not, if he wants windows, only that is more than his budget can allow.
Anyways, a computer without OS look here:
Tiger Direct

or this if he really doesn't need something fast : http://www.old-computers.com/museum/...sp?st=1&c=1130

Hope it helped

Hell, I'd just wait and save more money, $250 at least.

for email and browsing you could even go as far back as a PII. but for the minimal price difference might as well just go with a PIII with between 128mb and 256mb ram
