Tiger Direct- Abit AV8 vs Asus A8V

tiger direct is selling both the Abit AV8 and Asus A8V at around the same price in a bundle with the AMD 64 3400+ (939)

if i buy the abit, i'm pretty sure it'll work, however, if i buy the asus, i will need to flash the bios and after that some people had problems with it

however, i've seen reviews where these 2 mobos went head to head and asus was ahead in games about ~1 fps

so i was wondering, should i get teh asus or the abit?

Go for the Asus, The dealing with the flash isnt that big a deal..

I personally think Abit is better for OC then Asus, and over all. Im down with the Abit, again you should always flash your Bios anyways.

i'm not planning to OC

and i've heard a LOT of bad stuff about the asus A8V's compatibility with the 64 3400+ even after flashing the bios

i'll probably get the abit, but unless the asus is significantly better (i doubt it) i'll probably get the abit
