I have a three and a half page list of links for BIOS beep codes for Dell, but I need to know your model number (i.e. Dimension 4200).

Post it, and I'll pull up the codes.

Different BIOS's, different codes.

I posted the link to a great list of BIOS codes in the All Computer Websites sticky, but the link says that the page isn't there.

Here's a link for the download (PDF) http://techrepublic.com.com/5138-1035_11-729200.html

http://www.bioscentral.com/beepcodes/awardbeep.htm

I'm going to assume it's award though which is significant of a memory error.........theres a list of codes with other BIOS makers on the side as well....

try swapping out RAM if you have some or simply reseating the current RAM

try cleaning your ram with an eraser.... erase the part that is connecting the ram to its slot... usually black things(dirt) build up on this part....
the three beeps may mean error in your ram
beacuse the beep code for a faulty video card is one long and three short.. hope this helps
