Default Those OLD video connections

What are these video connections (usually 9-pin) found on some motherboards with S3 virge integrated chips?
I know they are video connections because there are texts labeling "Video"
Also they are found in some Matrox's, Matrox Millennium 1 and 2.
Maybe on some other cards too?

These are 1995 to 1997 products.

Motherboard is Digital.

BTW, I found a mobo (1994) which supports IRDA, but where to get such a thing?

i had a old monitor that was 9 pin, had to throw it out because i couldnt plug it into a normal vga connector.
