I need to do some work on a IBM ThinkPad600E for a friend - I have to put a new OS, make sure all the hardware works, and connect it to the network. Here's the problem: It has a Pentium II CPU and 96MB of RAM, so anything besides Windows 98 is out of question - or am I wrong?
I set up Windows 98 (1st edition... can't get 2nd edition anywhere) on it, and after some painful search online for drivers, the trackball and (most importantly) PCMCIA Network card still don't work ...
Does anyone have any idea what should I do? Any help will be much appreciated!!!
