Ok, i have a pretty stock...well the spex r in my siggy, but i was thinking of swapping my stock mobo with this one. I'm very $$ conscious, and this is the cheapest UV mobo i found and it seems pretty good (SATA, USB 2.0). Does anyone have it and can post comments/opinions? Any other suggestions. As always, UV reactive is better than not, but if not having it makes a significant difference in $$ or quality, that'd be fine.

I have it. it is not the fastest mobo (it is slow, except for long term projects)

however the computer that I have it on (with an amd 2800) has never lock up, crashed or anything goofy like that and it has stayed on 24hr a day for the past 2 years

so basically i shouldn't get it for performance, but it's reliable? what's this comparing to, and how cheap...well....expensive are average dual AMD mobos?

And, most importantly, it's probly gonna be faster than my cheap stock one, right?

I correct myself. I have the KT400a

but the only difference that I see is that it has more SATA slots

the KT400a does?
And i'm kinda a nOOb on mobo's so will my normal (40pin) HD's work with this mobo?

yours has more sata drives

you hard 3 places to put your hard drive

reg ide (you should put it there)

raid (it is built in)

or sata

you could put 8 cd/dvd rom/writers on this mobo
