cpu temp 54c
sys temp 51 c

Are those temps under idle conditions? They seem to be a bit high but still shouldn't cause any problems.

It is idle I got the temps from the bios.

i'd personally do something about if it's over 60. what core is that cpu?

Install some extra cooling fans perhaps. Get another/replace your cpu heatsink. But if you can afford it, go liquid cooling. That should get the job done. But those temperatures do seem very high, I suggest you do something about it asap. You can also use an airconditioner in the room, or some fans perhaps. Place your tower in a place that it can ventilate.

Wow, and taking that you have a 1800 XP as your sig suggests, that is quite odd. I remember amd's (older) having a problem with heating. Just do some of the things I suggested and you should be fine.

but the computer doesnt see warm by touching it so I don't know if those temps are accurate
