I’m serious I have nothing in between the heat sink and CPU. I builded the comp myself and the core is NorthWood and i dont think intel has thermal pads.

Well, that explains why mine runs so much hotter: mine is Prescott. Which does your processor look like?:

And Nubius, where is the thermal pad???? Is it the big ol' silver thingy with "Intel..." written on it in pic. #2?
