Default is there a way to see the temps of inside your computer

I used to have a program that showed the fan rpms, temps, voltages and other system stuff. Well that program was really badly programmed, and looked like something off an atari game. Does windows XP or ME have something like this built in??

at system POST you will get a message to press a specific key (usually F8 or DEL) to access CMOS. you can read your info off the hardware monitor in real time.
