Took forever but I finally got this external hard drive I borrowed from friend to transfer files to computer with broken cd drive. But when I try to access the drive it tells me its not formatted and asks if I want to format.
Any idea of what I should do, if I can even do anything.

I heard that they made external enclousre for hard drives that will allow non ntfs users to read ntfs. But you'd have to spend like 40 bucks on the enclosure.

Its my uncles computer and hes upgraded really soon. But wants to get the printer working on this one for now. However the cd drive is broke so I can't install the software.

Download the driver from the internet while on his PC then install it. You wont have a problem there unless he has dialup. If thats the case, download the driver somewhere else that has broadband and burn it onto a CD.

lol, he just said the cd doesnt work:D, yea downlaod the driver, if its by chance small enough stick it on a floppy, or a jump drive,
