Default Taking software off of a flash drive

My friend gave me his 4GB flash drive so I could the the software that came with it off (when you plug it in it runs a program) I said I'll do it for him. How should I go about doing this? Would using linux to delete the partitions be the best way?

Is it U3 installed on there? If so, either run the Uninstall from the U3 applet, or download the U3 remover from the U3 website.

Edit: Here
http://u3uninstall.s3.amazonaws.com/U3Uninstall.exe
