I have an old PC that I am installing NT 4.0 on it. I don't want to open my machine to see what kind of NIC card it uses. Is the another way to do it, please? if so, how?

Control Panel > System > Hardware tab > Device Manager > look under Network Adaptors....I think that should show you what NIC you are using.

then it doesnt have drivers for it, do you have another that you can install that you know you have drivers for?

Cause if you dont you're gonna have to open the machine up and if it is a PCI card just stick it in an XP machine and it should install, theny ou can get the name get drivers and reinstall it back in the other machine and you'll have drivers for it then

You can use Everest Home Edition and copy it to a USB key or a CD and then open it up. It should show what NIC card the computer has.
