yes, the p4 has 512 on L2. Go with the AMD 64, a great processor, faster than the ones listed below it. RAID 0 will help your HD speed a LOT, but it can wait if you want to save the money. SATA is a fast HD all on its own.

ok, question.. the AMD 64 .. I've read that it has more on cache on L2. it's something about 1024MB . . is that true?

is it true that the AMD compare to a p4, 2.6 ghz, 800 fsb... (the sweet middle) ..that u will feel the difference during work on graphics and video?

or is it just a number thing.... ?

also,... to what P4 System can i compare a AMD 64 ???

depends on the AMD 64. The 3200+ is on level with a P4 3.2, but it's cheaper. Plus someday the 64 bit processing will come in handy... so they say.
