I have an Asus mobo which tells me when I boot my computer if there is any problems, and it too often tells me (but not every time) that my System failed due to CPU overclocking.

The CPU, however, is not overclocked. I also (rarely) get the failed memory test.

Need more detail, what motherboard model you have? What CPU model you have? FSB speed and all.

Also if you can, which BIOS version you have - it flashes up at boot.

Sorry it's:

Mobo - A7N8X-E Deluxe
CPU - AMD Athlon XP 2500+ Barton. 1.83 GHZ, FSB of 333.

I will reboot and check the bios version.

Maybe Ur CPU is 2200+ or 200+ which has been overclocked.
Or maybe its a bios problem.
Look for newer bios ie available

It still tells me System fail due to CPU overclocking sometimes. It also will sometimes say "Power on self check completed" after it says CPU overclocking. I have no problems when it says that, it still boots up and I experience no problems anywhere.

The power on self test (POST) is perfectly normal. As to your overclocking problems, you might want to check you CPU's serial number and make sure it is a 2500+. Some shady vendors used to overclock processors and sell them at higher prices.
