I was having some problems with my computers display, so i changed it to high color (16-bit).

After changing it, i notice its working alot faster than i have ever seen...

why would it be faster?

the color was always set to 32-bit, from when it was bought.
The resolution was also at 1024*768.

My video is Intel 845 Chipset 64MB

Why do LCD monitors handle only 16-bit color, while the bulky CRT's can handle unlimited color?

i was looking at the Best Buy website, and the cheaper ones (under $400) didnt handle 32-bit.

Unless i read it wrong?

No.... Most LCDs are 6-bit, and can only handle 18-bit color. An 8-bit LCD can handle 24/32-bit color.
