Default switching monitor between 2 pc's

i have a desktop that im using now and im fixing my laptop that doesnt have a screen
is it damaging in any way for lcd to switch it between 2 pcs without shutting down the computer

i turn off the monitor disconnect cable , plug it in other pc and turn the monitor back on

raverx3m is offline

if u have a Video Graphic Accelerator Card......u may switch between two monitors by using a S-Video Cable. for more references seek microsoft help or search on http://www.Google.com/
