Default svchost virus

after about 5 minutes of using my computer a program (virus) called svchost.exe starts up and starts to use 99-98% of my processor it is usualy going to slow to be able to open control-alt-delete so i have to do a hard shutdown...? how can i make this stop. And i have done scans with anti-viruses

are you sure its a virus? svchost is supposed to be a windows component

i know i have 4 running with no problem. Just one starts up and uses 99% of my processor

well just searched..looks like theres a virus with that name....
It talks about the cpu thing too...

Yeah, I have four running in task manager, they are system components. None of them use any of the cpu. It shouldnt be a virus. I dont know why it is using 99% of your cpu. What are your specs?

On a side note your video card seems to have the most power out of your system.
