Surround sound vs. Non-Surround sound

I'm gonna get a set of surround speakers after my new soundcard.

I bought a Logitech gaming headphones with a mic for around thirty bucks. Fantastic headphones for gaming i might add.(you can hear steathy bas$ards sneak up on you from behind too!) I use them for gaming much more than my 5.1 Altec Lansing surround sound speakers which i paid over one hundred dollars for.

*points and laughs* I know lots of people who do that.

I use my like 99$ (USD) YST-M10's more than my 225$ (CDN) Sony MDR-v700's.

The m10's are still good PC speakers, seen them sell for 200$ USD used since their hard to aqquire and sweet speakers, 10w and very loud, i used them to play a outdoor party w/ a guitar amp for bass, it was a very ghetto party until we got some real JBL gear up in their.

Another reason I dont like my headphones, their too heavy and hurt my ears. Not a problem for DJ'ing since I wear my headphones only 1/3rd of the time, but bad for CSS cuz I never die

for 30$ bucks i'd go with the headphones i have. Logitech gaming headphones w/ Mic. Really good for gaming.
