Default super noob question

my friend was wondering if an 8x/4x agp vid card will work in a mobo thats 8x AGP...i didnt know the answer so i was lookin for some advice..i was assuming so but im not positive

As long as the voltage is the same. I think AGP4x and AGP8x work at 1.5v and anything lower at 3v.
