Stupic question time

Is there a way to tell what kind of processor I have other than through system properties cause mine says under computer x86 Family 6 Model 7 Stepping 3 AT /AT compatible which I've never heard of. I've heard of amd and intel.

You should be able to see it when your computer goes through POST on the BIOS. Not sure what version of windows you have sounds like 98...but you can usually find it on the directX tool as well..just do START>RUN>DXDIAG
