Default Strange S3 Standby Behaviour

I've been having a lot of problems getting my pc to standby properly, and when it does, having problems getting it to wake up.

However I have managed to narrow it down to a single BIOS setting.

When "Repost Video on S3 Resume" is enabaled, the system will standby, however on resume, power is restored to the fans/hdd, yet the system remains unresponsive with no video output.

If I disable the "Repost Video on S3 Resume" setting, the computer hangs on the "Preparing to stand by..." screen.

I've got the latest video drivers and bios installed.

(nVidia 6200 graphics card and Asus K8V-MX mobo)

Any further ideas?

Thanks in advance
