start up problems

hey when i turn on my computer/restart it sometimes after the xp loading screen it just goes blank and i have to restart because it doesnt do anything. it always doest it, pisses me off.

but when it does work its all fine.

whats the problem here?

HMMMMMMM.......After it hangs up, do you get the message that windows failed to load and then it gives you a bunch of options including safe mode or use last good logon? Sounds like you have somekind of hardware conflict. ???

Try unloading anything connected via usb. I had a usb adaptor attached to my pc and windows xp decided to pull that trick on me too one day. I just unattached the adapter and it loaded fine afterwards.

Did u add any new hardware in before this started happening.Check out hardware manager for any conflicts.
