Default Standby Modes?

I recently went over a thread here about standby modes and how the person couldn't get S3. I googled some and found out that S3 saved more power and that my computer does not have S3 on. So I went along into the BIOS to look for the option. Instead of being able to set the standby option, I can only set "C2 Disable/Enable." Well, C2 is only the CPU state and I can't find S3. Why is that?
