spontaneous freezing

spontaneous freezing, (sometimes on logon, random freezing, when loading bf1942)

unclean shutdown?


athlon 2500 xp, bios sees as 1900 xp

1.5 gb ram, ddr, one hyper x kingston,

2 other 512 sticks,

120 gig sata drive,

onboard sound (cmedia)

ge force 4 ti 4600 128 mg 64 apperture




any ideas?

Update your BIOS. My friend had a similar problem and that fixed it. Oh, and if it's recognizing it as a 1900+, you might have to overclock it to the right specs. I don't know why that is, but oh well. Good Luck.
