WOW!
I went 2 tigerdirect.com
they have a barebone w/

should i get it?

i know soyo makes god boards, but any drawbacks?

im gonna run an athlon 2500XP

also.. im gonna spend up 2 150 on a vga card.. Does this look good?

the reason why it is cheap is becaue you have to send in the $100 rebate. I recommend you should buy this bundle. another reason why it is so cheap is because it uses the old and outdated via KT400 chipset. BUT I've own several SOYO KT400 motherboards and they were rock solid. for $80 after rebate this is a pretty good deal. tigerdirect will honor any returns or exchanges so you should be safe buying it. they are a good company

I'm running a Soyo Dragon KT400 right now, as Esine said, it's rock solid. I've had no qualms with this board whatsoever. So, if you enjoy that red case (I don't, personal taste, haha) then go for it, I'd say.

soyos are good but soyo uses outdated old chipsets

it's not that they are outdated, it's because people seem to prefer nForce2 and 3 over Via. the new Via KT800 from SOYO performs pretty close to the nForce2 boards. I wish I chose that over my glitchy asus board. in the end it's about preference so choose what you like and remember, you can return/ exchange. just pick a good company to buy from
