Sound help........

Ok, this is the problem, i cannot play music on my computer!! i mean i get the sound when my comp loads and logs off, but other than that i can't play music! i've tried to play music through yahoo "launch", it didn't work there, and i also d/led music from Kaza, and that didn't work either, please help!

have you checked your volume control

Your sound codec driver is corrupt.
The login and logout sounds does not require decoding. So they r playing fine.
Download the codec from the munufactures website or from www.driver-guide.com
This should solve Ur problem.

i kinda found the problem, my comp has been really slow for some reason, so i then hit ctrl alt del and then went to process to see what was taking up so much of my cpu usage, it turns out it was something called "svchost.exe" i tried to play my music before i "end tasked" it, and it worked, but when i close that, it makes my comp faster, but then my sound for music and vids doesn't work :/
