Sound card causing computer to crash
I just bought a new Sound Blaster Live 5.1 card.... it seems to be working fine and all, then I went to download something and my computer full out crashed. I thought it might be because I don't have much ram, so I tried opening as many programs as I could, too see if it would crash....after opening about 20 applications...somehow, it was still running smooth. I opened up IE, went to download a file, and it crashed. Then I tried disabling the sound card, and tried to download a file, and it worked fine.
my computer specs are as follows:
Intel P3 535 MHz
192 MB of Ram
Sound Blaster Live 5.1
ATI Rage 8 meg card
40 Gig Maxtor HD
30 Gig HD (not sure the brand)
Windows XP Professional
Does anyone know what the problem could be???
Please reply as soon as possible. Thanks.
