I have a Sound Blaster live 5.1 now but i cant get the thing to ue the 5.1 feature. it only has options for 2 speakers or 4 speakers. what do i do?

Sounds like a driver issue. Check and see if there are better drivers. Also you may look at a firmware upgrade, although that is not always available.

i have the latest drivers from creative but how do i do a frimware upgrade?

if they have a file for that they will have instructions as well.

enable pallet snooping I had to do it on my mobo.It says in the manual enable pallet snooping for css or something devices for full use of sound blaster cards.

I forgot if u have an apg slot your sound card will need to know so it can work and it is an ISA device now that I think about it.

yea, i have a PCI Sound Blaster LIVE! 5.1 Platinum so i didnt think that would work. i guess i gotta do this firmware thing?
