Well ok, some good rap too, a gig of it, and that is all that I think I need.

I choose SLI because it is technically the "best", but it's not an interface like AGP or PCIe, it's an nVidia technology which splits the load between two video cards of the same type.

Well, it being nVidia technology doesn't mean that it will interfere with my preference for an X800 Xt does it?

SLI is an nVidia technology and is not supported by ATi, so no, your card will not work in SLI. There's a very small quantity of boards right now which support both 939 and PCIe.

What is the advantage to PCI-E vs. AGP?

PCI-E has a lot more bandwith over AGP, plus if you go for Nvidia you can run 2 cards in SLI

PCI-E is replacing both PCI and AGP
it is basically the same thing as PCI, except that it runs serially (like what they did with SATA) which give a higher transfer speed

PCI-E 1x slots are for (future) average expansion cards, and 16x is for graphics cards

Ok, so PCI-E is the way to go, and would this be a good X800 XT card for PCI-E?
