By the By,,

when do you think they put the CMOS battery in??? Usually at the date of Manufacture right??

Plus,, if you have a short from the soldering job, or a loose bracket,, BZZZT!

Further,,, how long was the battery sitting before being put into the MOBO,,

Never touch CMOS battery with bare hands as tallow on your hands will get on the battery and drain it.

Never touch any battery of that type with your bare hands!
ie: Watch batteries ...

You will drain any of them and you can cause them to corrod in the socket Which can cause serious damage to the socket
