I have a customer with a Sony VAIO PCG-FRV25. When trying to play sound through the internal speakers, we experience a "popping" or strong clicking noise. I first noticed it when trying to play music over the net, but it doesn't make any difference whether it's a CD, digital movie, recorded sound or whatever, it seems the soiund generated is accompanied by the pop, snap and crackle.
The vendor (Frye's) says that there is a problem in the original software, but say it is not covered under the Sony warrantee.
Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know of a software fix?
