Default Sony NW-HD3 help!

hello all, first post here, i'm looking for some help

a few days ago my brother reformatted his computer while my Sony NW-HD3 was still plugged in, he wiped everything from, now the computer doesn't recognise it & it doesn't start up properly

can anyone help?

(hopefully this is the right forum)

Can you be more specific?

Does the device turn on at all? If so, you may be in luck; this freeware program may be able to retrieve that data.

If it doesn't turn on, I would venture a safe guess and say you're screwed, man. As much as i hate to be a pessimist (probably spelled wrong), that's what i would say given the information given.
