Sony NW-HD3 help!

hello all, first post here, i'm looking for some help

a few days ago my brother reformatted his computer while my Sony NW-HD3 was still plugged in, he wiped everything from, now the computer doesn't recognise it & it doesn't start up properly

can anyone help?

Does the device turn on at all? If so, you may be in luck; http://www.snapfiles.com/get/restoration.html this freeware program may be able to retrieve that data.

If it doesn't turn on, I would venture a safe guess and say you're screwed, man. As much as i hate to be a pessimist (probably spelled wrong), that's what i would say given the information given.
