Try disconnecting the cd-rom.

How about event viewer (in administrator tools). It'll give more details. Few things I can think of is faulty power supply or maybe MBD driver set (like 4n1)

No.

Let me add a little more to this story. When I sent my computer back to Alienware and they fixed it, it worked great and didnt black screen. But my computer was filled with so much spyware and **** that like 3 months later I reformatted. And THATS when it started happening again. So, im still lost ..

Cool "A classic case of 'Siphon filter'!..."

ATIRAGEPRO returns to the HARDWARE ZONE!!!

Well, that's still basically the same problem, And it can most likeley be fixed by installing the drivers again. But if you INSIST that it's the spyware, (Or something,) then you should download a spyware/addware removal software, AFTER installing the new drivers again...

But you say that your desplay keeps BLACKING OUT periotically right? So in 'MY' humble opinion, their is a trojan horse in effect in your computer. (And that's a whole nother problem.) you should download Macfee Virus scan for that.

"Please update us if any of this works. Thank you"

No, its not a result of any spyware or trojan, I know that for a fact.
