Default somehow busted floppy drive?!

hey guys,
i just recently switched my old 350W PS for a MGE 400W PS.. and of course with that i had to unplug all drives from it etc.etc.... now the trick is .. i had a bit of a hard time plugging in the small floppy drive cable .. not sure what its called.. small and black one .. it fit eventually... however.. just noticed now that my floppy drive doesnt quite function... now .. its recognized in bios .. its recognized as working properly in windows XP.. however the led is turned on at all times, and it doesnt make any sound or anything .. any idea on what i did wrong ? or what i could haved messed up? i mean, is there anyway i messed it up by struggling with the power connector? i couldnt have short circuited it since the led light comes on... any input is, as always, greatly appreciated =D

You connected your floppy cable the wrong way around either on your mobo or on the floppy itself.

Flip your IDE cable (the wide ribbon like one). You can flip on the floppy side or the mobo, doesn't really matter which.
