Hi, it is my first time building a computer. I just have a question. I am about to buy a OEM hard drive. But, OEM drives are usually bare drives. They don't come with ribbon cables and te other stuff. So does that mean I have to buy my own? Or is there something else i can do? Thank you, any replies will be appreciated

Usually you'll get some cables with your motherboard, but you can also go out and buy these cables. I wouldnt expect to pay more than 2 bucks a cable. Or if you wanna get fancy i'd suggest checking out ebay and getting some nice round cables to match your case.

The majority of hard drives come as OEM due to the fact it makes shipping much easier.

Yeah they won't come with cables and also usually means they don't offer any warranty either =) so keep that in mind. Like bob said get some round cables, will make it easier to keep your case clean and promote better airflow.
